"I'm loving my GinaCurl."

Client story submitted by Dr. Lian Robinson Dixon

Dr. Lian Robinson Dixon shares her experience transitioning from decades of chemical processes to the modern, low-maintenance GinaCurl. In her story, she explains why the updated technique felt healthier, easier, and perfectly aligned with her intentional hair-care routine.

My GinaCurl Journey

I've been natural since 2012, and before that, I tried just about every chemical process you can think of, from Jheri Curls in the 80s to perms, color, and everything in between. My hair has always been strong, so making the transition to the GinaCurl felt easy and natural for me.

Before getting my GinaCurl, I did a lot of research because I wanted something truly low-maintenance. As I'm getting older, I simply don’t have time for complicated routines. What really stood out was learning Gina’s process. It’s nothing like the old chemical curls people compare it to. There are detailed steps tailored to your specific hair variation, and because I have had the Jheri Curl, I can tell you firsthand that it’s completely different. Knowing that Gina herself worked with the original Jheri Curl system gave me even more confidence.

This is a whole different, healthier, more modern approach to texture transformation. I've had my GinaCurl for almost a year now, and I can honestly say, it has been one of the best hair decisions I've ever made.

I absolutely love my hair. I’m very intentional with my hair care, and the GinaCurl fits my lifestyle perfectly. It’s soft, healthy, defined, and truly effortless. I wash my hair every three days, apply my products, and go. That’s it. I get a touch-up every five to six months.

The GinaCurl has made my routine simple, consistent, and joyful, and I’m so grateful I made the choice.

Thank you, Gina, for creating the GinaCurl.
