Schedule an Appointment at Hair's Talent

When it comes to scheduling appointments, we work at little differently than your typical hair salon. Please read the following information carefully so that you are clear on our process. If you have questions, you can send us an email.

Call For An Appointment

Appointments are accepted by phone only. Please do not text or email appointment requests, do not message us on social media. Those are great methods for feedback and questions, but not for time-sensitive appointments. Your calls and messages will go directly to our scheduler in the order they are received. If we don't answer the phone, please leave a message. Our landline doesn't have call log like a mobile phone so we won't know you called unless you leave a message. All calls will be returned.

Consultation Form Required

All chemical services require an online Consultation Form before you can schedule your appointment. This includes GinaCurl, the Straight Variation and Thermal Reconditioning. Once your consultation form has been reviewed, we will send you a quote. Then you may call us to schedule an appointment. We have your hair's best interest at heart!

Let's Talk About Deposits

You'll be asked to secure your appointment with a deposit. We do this to reduce last minute cancellations. Most of our services require a long appointment and we have to block off between 6-8 hours. If a client were to cancel one of these long appointments, we are losing 6-8 hours of work. Sure, we have a long wait list, but with most clients coming from out of state - and some from out of the country - it's extremely difficult to fill that time slot on short notice.

Service Fees

How much will your service cost? You can use our service list as a guide. The exact cost of your service will be quoted upon consultation. In addition to the cost of the service, here are a few factors that could increase the fee.

Day of the Week

To secure a Saturday appointment, a $50 fee applies.

Gina only?

We are a team-based operation and our salon works like a well oiled machine. During your visit, multiple team members will be involved in creating your style. If you want only Gina to touch your head, we can accommodate your request but there is a cost for disrupting our flow because it makes us less efficient. For Gina only, there will be an additional fee of $100.

Payment Methods

We accept all major credit cards, mobile pay, and cash. If you use a credit card, a small processing fee applies.

How much to tip your hair stylist?

The stylists at Hair’s Talent always appreciate a tip with a genuine smile in their heart. If you would like to leave a tip, you can add to your total amount at checkout using the pin pad. Cash tips are ideal because we often split tips between stylists and assistants. How much should you tip your stylist? Tipping is totally at your discretion but typically falls between 15-25% of the total service. When calculating your tip at checkout, if you paid a deposit your total service is higher than your final bill.

Cancellation Policy

If you have to cancel or change your appointment, we require 7 days notice at a minimum. Any cancellations with less than 7 days advance notice will result in a forfeit of your deposit.

The Consultation

The purpose of the consultation is to give us a clear picture of your hair history so that we can create the best results in the safest way possible. We can't stress enough how important it is to answer all chemical history questions honestly and thoroughly. Remember, hair color is a chemical so we need to know what type of color you are using (e.g. semi-permanent, permanent, or stain). Also which volume of developer used (e.g. 6vol 10vol, 20vol etc.) is very helpful to know.

Next Steps

We will review your information and reply within one business week with a quote and some preliminary information. You can respond with any questions you have and we'll answer them. When you're ready to move ahead, you may call the salon to give a deposit and schedule your appointment.

Appointment Day

How to Prepare

On the day of your appointment, please arrive with your hair clean and dry, blown out or in a stretched style (e.g. twist out or a braid out). We recommend washing, conditioning, de-tangling, applying a light product and either twisting, loosely braiding, or blow drying and wrapping your hair. It's very important that your hair is as tangle and snarl free as possible. Not arriving with hair properly prepared as described above will result in service fee higher than what we quoted you.

Please Note: Appointments for haircuts, hair color, and other styling services are only available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
