The Shampoo and Conditioning regimen below should be followed by everyone, but further instruction listed on this page is intended for GinaCurl clients only

After Your GinaCurl

  • Wait three days after your GinaCurl to shampoo your hair.
  • After you sleep, your hair may be flat in some areas. Simply mist your curls with water and scrunch to revive your bouncy curls.
  • Be aware your hair has product in it from the previous day, so adding more product can weigh your hair down or cause product build up. Misting and reactivating the product already in your hair is your first step in styling, only add leave-in conditioner and curl cream as needed for moisture then scrunch.
  • Keep your hair curly for three days after your GinaCurl. No stretching your hair in any way (e.g. pony tails, tucking behind ears, using a hair wrap, etc.).
  • If you choose to add product to your hair every day you will need to use a clarifying shampoo once a month.

How To Condition Your Hair:

  • Wring out your hair so there is as little water as possible. This is very important because if you hair is filled with water the conditioner will just sit on top of the hair, instead of penetrating into the hair.
  • Apply your Conditioning Treatment mid shaft down to the ends of your hair in a downward motion. Let the treatment soak into your hair for a few minutes.
  • Using a wide tooth comb, comb through and detangle your hair gently.
  • Keep your hair curly for three days after your GinaCurl. No stretching your hair in any way (e.g. pony tails, tucking behind ears, using a hair wrap, etc.).
  • You may need to section your hair to detangle it once your roots grow in.
  • Rinse out your conditioning treatment completely. Never leave conditioner in the hair, even a little bit.
  • Wring out excess water.
  • Once a month you can use your conditioning treatment as a deep conditioner by shingling the treatment all over your hair, putting a plastic cap on, and leaving it on for 3-4 hours or under a steamer for 30mins to an hour.

How To Shampoo Your Hair:

  • Saturate your hair thoroughly with water.
  • Use 1 to 2 pumps of Milbon Moisture Shampoo.
  • Lather the shampoo onto your scalp with your fingers. The first shampoo lifts and loosens the dirt on your roots and scalp so the scalp is the focus for now.
  • Remember to place your fingers on the scalp, lightly massage, then remove your fingers and place them on a different part of your scalp. Never drag your fingers as this can tangle/tear your hair.
  • Rinse out the shampoo, focusing on the scalp and the roots.
  • Repeat steps 1 through 3 but focus on the mid shaft to the ends of your hair for your second shampoo round.
  • Remember to follow the direction of your hair and drag the shampoo in a downward motion with your hands; don’t tousle your hair.
  • Rinse out the shampoo thoroughly.
  • Never detangle or comb through hair with shampoo!
  • Don’t be alarmed, some shedding is normal since you haven’t combed through your hair for three days.

How to Style Your Hair With A GinaCurl:

  • Apply Semi Di Lino Extraordinary All in 1 Leave In, or your personal leave-in conditioner, and shingle into your hair (check out Gina’s Shingling Technique on YouTube).
  • Mist your hair with water if your hair begins to dry too quickly.
  • Apply your preferred curl creams and gel then scrunch your hair and allow to air dry or diffuse on low heat.
  • Finish off your styling by misting your hair with the Semi Di Lino Cristalli Shine Spray.
  • Use Nigelle Cream, Serum and Fluid to refresh your curls (especially the ends). If you have previously damaged ends these products are ideal for reviving your curls. Use them sparingly as they are very concentrated.
